Mexico Rocks Marine Reserve

The Mexico Rocks Marine Reserve, located to the north of Ambergris Caye, was established in 2015, making it the newest marine reserve in the area. This reserve consists of a network of coral reefs located within the barrier reef, and it is well-known for its excellent snorkeling opportunities. 

Mexico Rocks is recognized for its diverse marine life and relatively calm waters, making it beginner-friendly. The complex patch reef system features an average depth of eight to twelve feet and is home to an abundance of juvenile fish, turtles, stingrays, and nurse sharks. It is the perfect place for families to enjoy quality time together and create unforgettable memories.
